Men's Athlete of the Week
Andrew McQuillan, Loyola, Senior, Geneva, Ill.
McQuillan paced the Rambler men by finishing 16th at the Hawkeye Invitational in Iowa City, Iowa on Sept. 2. The senior from Geneva, Ill. finished the race with a time of 19:00 to help Loyola finish fourth in the meet.

Women's Athlete of the Week
Ashley Raymond, Loyola, Freshman, Wheaton, Ill.
Raymond led the Loyola women's team in her first collegiate meet with a 26th-place finish at the Hawkeye Invitational in Iowa City on Sept. 2. She finished the 3K course with a time of 11:22, helping the Ramblers finish sixth in the competition.

Other Top Men's Performers
Mead Goedert, Detroit, Senior, Omaha, Neb.
Goedert finished second at the Golden Grizzly Open with a time of 21:04, the best time ever at Bloomer Park in Rochester by a Titan, and an improvement of 36 seconds on his time in the same race in 2004.

Mikhail Davidyan, UIC, Senior, Skokie, Ill.
Davidyan started his senior season off on the right foot, finishing second at the UIC Home Opener with a 20:41 in the 4.1-mile event to pace the UIC men's squad to a team victory.

Nathaniel Brown, UW-Green Bay, Junior, Montello, Wis.
Brown was Green Bay's top finisher at the annual UIC Home Opener. The junior finished the day in eighth place with a time of 21:42 for the 4.1-mile course.

Josh Nygren, UW-Milwaukee, Senior, Marinette, Wis.
Nygren topped the field at the UIC Home Opener to lead the Panthers to a split in the meet's dual-meet scoring. Nygren set a course record, crossing the line of the 4.1-mile course in 20:35. It was the first cross country win of his career.

LeAnn Sarka, Detroit, Sophomore, Fort Wayne, Ind.
Sarka finished third at the Golden Grizzly Open with a time of 19:45, the third-best time ever at Bloomer Park in Rochester by a Titan, and an improvement of 16 seconds on her time in the same race in 2004.

Lisa Petty, UIC, Junior, Willowbrook, Ill.
Petty had a day to remember this past Saturday, running a second-place 11:59 in the women's two-mile race at the ninth annual UIC Home Opener to lead the Flames to the team win. The time of 11:59 tied her career best at the annual season-opening event.

Natalie McPeak, UW-Green Bay, Junior, Waupaca, Wis.
Peak was the top Phoenix finisher at UIC's ninth annual Home Opener. The junior finished the two-mile course with a time of 12:11 which marked a third-place finish.

Megan Johnson, UW-Milwaukee, Freshman, River Falls, Wis.
Running in her first collegiate race, Johnson won the UIC Home Opener and helped UWM to a 1-2 mark in the event's dual-meet scoring. Johnson finished the abbreviated two-mile course in 11:54 for the win.
