Horizon League men's soccer officially opened the 2005 campaign Thursday night.

Ann Arbor, Mich. - Detroit played a role in history at the University of Michigan, but the Titans fell to the host Wolverines by a 2-0 defeat in the first-ever night contest at UM Soccer Field. UDM netminder Sasha Boskovic recorded six saves in a losing effort for the visitors.

Opening-week action continues Friday with six Horizon League teams in action. Three other matches are slated for Saturday with four Sunday contests wrapping up the first weekend of the 2005 campaign.
