Mark Sommerfeld, Detroit
Junior *
Waterloo, Ontario

Sommerfeld claimed second place individually at the UC Collegiate, leading Detroit to fifth place as a team. Sommerfeld grabbed the first-round lead with a sizzling five-under 67, then shot 74 in Round 2 to claim second place at three-under 141 behind Texas' Farren Keenan.

Livonia, Mich.

McHenry recorded her third straight Top 10 tournament finish as she claimed a share of second place at the UC Collegiate. McHenry's three-over 75 was just two shots off the winning pace in the rain-shortened tournament.

Brandon Knutson

Wright State

Sr. * South Bend, Ind.

Knutson led the Raiders at the EKU Spring Invitational by tying for eighth with a three-round score of 214, including a 68 in the second round.

 

Thomas Greene

Loyola

Fr. * Roselle, Ill.

Greene tied for seventh place with a 147 (77-70) at the UC Collegiate this week. The rookie fired a two-under 70, the third-lowest score by any golfer on the day, in round two on April 3, to help Loyola finish tied for sixth in the 12-team field.

 

Abe Mulvihill

Butler

Jr. * Grand Rapids, Mich.

Mulvihill shot a one-over-par 145 to tie for fourth in the final individual standings at the UC Collegiate, hosted by Cincinnati.  He opened the 36-hole tournament with a one-under-par 71, before closing with a two-over par 74.  His opening round total was the best by any of the Bulldogs.

 

Ryan Stocke

Youngstown State

So. * Elida, Ohio

Stocke was the team's top finisher at 55th in the Eastern Kentucky Invitational which was held on Friday and Saturday. He carded a three-round 227 (71-76-80) for the event. He was in 33rd place after the first two rounds.

 

Other Top Women's Performances

 

Bonnie Sherman

Youngstown State

Sr. * Canton, Ohio

Sherman led the Penguins with a 16th-place finish at the rain-shortened UC Collegiate which was held on Monday and Tuesday. Sherman had an 81 in Monday's round before Tuesday's round was rained it. It marked the first time in her career that she was the team's top finisher at an event.

 

Amanda Glatfelter

Cleveland State

Jr. * Fairfield, Ohio

Glatfelter was the top finisher for the Vikings at the Georgetown Hoya Invitational, posting rounds of 86 and 85.
