The Horizon League Network will produce free video web casts of all games of this week's Horizon League Baseball Championship in Chicago, Will Roleson, Associate Commissioner for Communications and Multimedia, announced Monday (May 21) All games will be streamed live from Les Miller Field on the campus of the University of Illinois at Chicago.


HLN programming is available on the League's official web site at www.horizonleague.org.


The HLN baseball web casting schedule begins Wednesday (May 23) with a pair of games in the double-elimination tournament. Fourth-seed Cleveland State University will face fifth-seed Butler University in the first game at noon ET, followed by third-seed University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee against sixth-seed Youngstown State University at 4 p.m. ET. Top-seed and host UIC and second-seed and defending champion Wright State University will open play on Thursday (May 24).


Action continues Thursday and Friday (May 25) with games at noon, 4 and 8 p.m. ET each day, and Saturday (May 26) at noon and 4 p.m. ET. Any games played Sunday (May 27), including a winner-take-all championship game at noon ET or other games pushed back due to weather or time, also will be shown live.


Play-by-play duties will be handled by Mike Cassidy, UIC's assistant athletic director for communications and design, and student assistant Salma Aasi. The baseball sports information directors of the teams participating in each game will provide color commentary.


The Horizon League Network has produced live video web casts of more than 235 games already during the 2006-07 academic year, including more than 220 regular-season men's and women's basketball games plus parts of the men's and women's soccer, volleyball and softball championships.
