Horizon League Names 504 to 2005 Spring Academic Honor Roll

Indianapolis, Ind.--The Horizon League is proud to recognize 504 student-athletes as members of the 2005 Spring Academic Honor Roll.

Butler leads the list with 74 student-athletes. UW-Milwaukee places second with 63 honorees while 62 athletes represent UW-Green Bay.

A sport-by-sport breakdown places women's cross-country/track and field (68), women's swimming and diving (61) and women's soccer (58) at the top of the list. On the men's side, men's cross-country/track and field (54) and men's soccer (43) received the most academic honors.

Candidates for the Academic Honor Roll needed to meet three criteria in order to qualify: 1) participate in at least one of the League's 19 sports; 2) must have completed three semesters (four quarters on the quarter system) as a full-time student at the same member institution; and 3) must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.25 as of June 20, 2005.
