Loyola University Chicago sophomore guard Pierre Parker has earned a roster spot on the French U20 National Team that begins play in the European Championship on July 8 versus Slovenia in Chekov, Russia.

Parker, a 6-foot-3 product of Lisle (Ill.) High School, averaged 3.2 ppg and 2.1 rpg in 29 appearances as a freshman for the Ramblers. The younger brother of San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker Jr., Pierre made five starts in 2004-05 and scored a season-high 12 points and snagged six rebounds against Illinois State in his first career starting assignment. His father, Tony Parker Sr., ranks as Loyola's seventh all-time leading scorer with 1,605 points, and enjoyed a standout professional career in France.
