No. 8 New Mexico vs. No. 9 UW-Green Bay
Green Bay, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay women's basketball team knows its dance partner, as the Phoenix were tabbed the No. 9 seed in the Fresno Regional and will take on No. 8 seed University of New Mexico on Sunday, March 18 at 7 p.m. in a game televised by ESPN2. The contest will be played at the Hartford Civic Center in Hartford, Conn.

The winner of that matchup will advance to take on the winner of top-seed Connecticut and No. 16 UMBC, which will be played 30 minutes after the conclusion of the UW-Green Bay/New Mexico game.

The Phoenix (28-3) enters the NCAA Tournament on a 25-game winning streak and fresh off a 91-64 victory over Butler University in the 2007 Horizon League Championship game on Sunday afternoon. UWGB is No. 22 in this week's Associated Press poll and is making its ninth NCAA Tournament appearance in program history.

New Mexico (24-8) is in the Big Dance for the sixth-consecutive season, earning an automatic bid after capturing the Mountain West Conference title, 63-49, against Brigham Young University on Saturday.

UIC at Minnesota
Chicago, Ill. - The University of Illinois at Chicago earned a spot among the 48-team Women's National Invitation Tournament field as the Flames will travel to the University of Minnesota in the opening round on Wednesday (March 14).

With the expansion of the field this year, an automatic berth was secured for all 31 Division I conferences. UIC, which finished second in the regular season before being ousted in the semifinals of the Horizon League Championship by Butler, will make its first appearance in a postseason tournament since joining the Horizon League in 1994-95.

The Flames (19-12) set a school record for wins in a season with 19 and posted an 11-game winning streak during the 2006-07 campaign, another program standard.
