Green Bay, Wis - The UW-Green Bay softball team's first-ever NCAA tournament appearance will be in Madison, Wis. Friday through Sunday, May 20-22 at the University of Wisconsin's Goodman Diamond. The 64-team field was announced by the NCAA Sunday evening live on ESPN News. The Phoenix advanced to the NCAA tournament with five straight wins in the Horizon League championship last weekend in Ashwaubenon, Wis.
Joining the Phoenix in the four-team double elimination first round will be the host Badgers (31-22), DePaul (39-18) and the No. 8 seed in the tournament, sixth-ranked Oregon State (40-14). The winning team will advance to the tournament Super Regional to play the winner of the South Bend, Ind. regional.
All-session passes will be available starting Monday at $20 for adults or $14 for youth, students and senior citizens. Single-session passes, which will only be available on gameday, will be available for $7 for adults or $5 for youth, students and senior citizens.
