The Horizon League has announced Oakland’s Jeremiah Morren as Men’s Swimmer of the Week and Oakland’s Joe Smith as Men’s Diver of the Week.

Jeremiah Morren/Oakland/Senior/Sprint Free/Holland, Michigan

Morren won the 100 free on the men's side registering a NCAA B-cut time of 44.63. The senior competed in six events throughout the Zippy Invite, finishing in the top half in each race. This includes Morren’s second place finish in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:28.21, as well as a second place finish in the 400 medley relay with a time of 3:14.37. The Holland native also placed 5th/24 in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 20.26.

This is the first Swimmer of the Week honor that Morren has received this season.

Joe Smith/Oakland/Sophomore/Diver/Chelsea, Michigan

Sophomore Joe Smith was a big contributor to the Golden Grizzlies second place finish in the Zippy Invite. Smith finished 3rd/14 in the 1 meter dive with a score of 286.05. The diver also earned a spot in the top three with a score of 312.00 in the 3-meter dive.

This is the second Diver of the Week honor that Smith has received this season.
