The Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholars for Division I, II & III were announced Monday and 11 Horizon League women’s golfers made the list.

UIC led all Horizon League schools with three golfers making the list. The Flames were represented by Catilan Smollen, Elizabeth Ryann Gilley and Kayla Stueland. Cleveland State had two golfers on the list in Allyson Hackman and Shelly Ford. The 2013 team champion, the Detroit Titans, were represented by Collette Hansen and Player of the Year, Lindsey Lammers. Valparaiso’s Erika Pfaender and Michelle Kleckner were on the list, while Loyola’s April Ohlendorf and Bernice Sitompul rounded out the HL golfers recognized.

A total of 644 women’s collegiate golfers from Division I, II and III were recognized.

The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics with the minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 required to be eligible.
