Northern Kentucky

Chrissy Spears

Hometown: Cincinnati, Ohio

MediumOn the defensive end, Spears helped lead Northern Kentucky to a pair of shutouts, limiting the Phoenix of Green Bay to only two shots on goal in opening conference play and holding Robert Morris to only three the entire match. NKU is the only conference team to record three straight shutout victories thus far. With the senior’s constant defensive presence, she has now established herself as the anchor of the back line and as result has led the Norse to a conference high, five shutouts.


Wright State

Jessie Thornton

Hometown: Louisville, KY

MediumThe junior had back-to-back 20 dig matches against LIU Brooklyn and South Florida. Thornton had 61 digs over a three game span to help the Raiders go 2-1 over the weekend.


Northern Kentucky

Jessica Frey

Hometown: Cincinnati, Ohio

MediumJunior Jessica Frey tallied in a total of seven points this past week, including the game-winner against Robert Morris at home on Sunday’s 2-0 victory. The forward also netted home two goals along with an assist in Mondays 4-0 win over Green Bay. Frey not only led Northern Kentucky in shots taken in their two game streak with 10, but recorded the most goals and now leads her team in total points with nine.


Oakland

Darien Bandel

Hometown: Ortonville, MI

MediumBandel tallied 38 kills and 10 aces to help the Golden Grizzlies win all but one of the sets they played, and achieve a 4-0 record. The junior, outside hitter was named MVP at the Bucknell Invitational.


Milwaukee

Evan Conway

Hometown: Whitefish Bay, Wis.

MediumConway led the charge for Milwaukee in the Milwaukee Cup against Marquette. The team battled back from a 3-0 deficit to tie the ball game and earn the 3-3 draw. The freshman scored two goals in the comeback in addition to one goal in the Panthers' win over Northern Kentucky on the weekend.


Oakland

Liam McQueenie

Hometown: Unionville, Ontario, Canada

MediumMcQueenie posted his first career shutout in the team's win over Green Bay while posting four saves. Earlier in the week, the Golden Grizzlies fell to Michigan State 1-0 as McQueenie tabbed three saves. For the week, the freshman totaled seven saves, a .50 goals-against average and a 1-1-0 record.


Detroit Mercy

Devon Sutton

Hometown: Ludington, Mich.

MediumSutton posted a career time by 30 seconds to finish 12th among all Division I competition and 18th overall at the 37th Annual National Catholic Championships. The senior's 18:22 5K time was the sixth best finish in school history at Notre Dame.


Youngstown State

Ryan Sullivan

Hometown: Howland, Ohio

MediumRyan Sullivan won his first race this year by nearly 10 seconds with a time of 24:36.5 at the UB Stampede. The race was Sullivan's first individual win of his career.
