OMAHA, Neb. -- Wright State alumnus Kile Aukerman and Oakland's Devon Nowicki both competed in the men's 200 breaststroke at the United States Olympic Swimming Team Trials on Wednesday morning.

Both swimming in their second events of the trials, Aukerman posted the 37th-best time of the heats, posting a time of 2:17.52. Nowicki, the Horizon League champion in both the 100 and 200 breast, was 53rd in the 200, touching in 2:18.81.

Nowicki wraps the trials as just the second Oakland swimmer to compete in multiple events at the U.S. trials. Earlier in the week, the rising sophomore placed 34th in the 100 breaststroke, marking the best finish at the U.S. trials by a Golden Grizzly since 2004.

Aukerman will have his final swim of the meet on Thursday, June 30, competing in the 200 individual medley along with former teammate Mitch Stover.

Additionally on Thursday, Milwaukee alumna Emily McClellan and Oakland senior Rachel Waite will be both competing in the 200 breaststroke.
