INDIANAPOLIS -- Butler University senior Andy Baker and Butler freshman Katie Clark have been named Horizon League Cross Country Athletes of the Week for the period of Sept. 28-Oct. 4.
Baker, a native of Minehead, U.K., finished third out of 179 competitors with an 8K time of 23:45.0 on Friday at the Notre Dame Invitational in South Bend, Ind.
Clark, a native of Hull, U.K., placed 27th out of 178 runners with a 5K time of 17:19.0 on Friday at the same meet.
Butler placed fifth in a 23-team men's field with 153 points and 13th in a 22-team women's field with 383 points. The Bulldogs are idle until Oct. 17 when they travel to the NCAA Pre-National Meet in Terre Haute, Ind.
