INDIANAPOLIS - Cleveland State sophomore Carys Behn has been named the Horizon League Women’s Swimmer of the Week, while University of Wisconsin-Green Bay senior Lauren McGraw earned Women’s Diver-of-the-Week honors for the period of Nov. 9-15.
Behn displayed four individual gold-medal performances last week in two home meets. At the City College Quad Meet on Tuesday, she dominated the 50- and 1,000-yard freestyle, posting times of 24.58 and 10:24.84, respectively. In Saturday’s meet, the Westville, South Africa, native claimed the top podium spot in the 200 free (1:53.05) and the 500 free (5:01.63).
The sophomore claims her first award of the season and the second of her career.
McGraw racked up six first-place medals this past week in meets against South Dakota State University and St. Cloud State University. On Saturday, her scores from the one- (270.90) and three-meter board (280.58) exceeded the NCAA Zone Diving Regional standards.
The Woodbury, Minn., native claims her fifth career weekly laurel.
