INDIANAPOLIS - Cleveland State sophomore James Boxley and Youngstown State sophomore Samantha Formeck have been named Horizon League Golfers of the Week for the period of March 24-30. Formeck notches her third award of the campaign, while Boxley picks up his first.

Boxley, a native of Miamisburg, Ohio, finished fourth out of 82 individuals (75-71-74=220) on Saturday and Sunday at the Ball State Cardinal Classic in Jasper, Ind. The Vikings (313-305-305=923) placed 11th in the 15-team event.

Boxley's second-round tally (71) and three-round total (220) were both career bests.

Formeck, a native of Northern Cambria, Pa., placed third out of 33 golfers (76-74=150) on Monday and Tuesday at the Marshall Spring Invitational in Hurricane, W.Va. The Penguins (316-317=633) finished third in the six-team competition.

Formeck, who continues to lead the conference in stroke average this spring, missed medalist honors by just four strokes in her most-recent outing.
