COLUMBUS, OHIO -- Butler shot its best round of the tournament and moved into 23rd place in the final team standings at the 2012 NCAA Division I Women's Golf Central Regional which concluded on Saturday, May 12.  The Bulldogs carded a team total of 315 in the final round for a 54-hole score of 970.

Senior Michele Nash (right) was one of three Bulldogs to shoot a six-over-par 78 in the final round, and she wound up leading Butler for the tournament with a three-round score of 230.  The two-time Horizon League Player of the Year wound up tied for 37th in the final individual competition.

Also shooting scores of 78 on the final day were freshman Isabella Lambert and senior Clare Cornelius.  Lambert tied for 104th overall with a final total of 245, while Cornelius came in a 115th with a three-round score of 250.  Both players had their best round of the tournament on the final day.

Junior Julia Porter shot an 81 to close out the tournament and finished in a tie for 118th place at 252, while freshman Jenna Peters carded an 84 in the final round and tied for 121st overall at 257.

Southern Cal led all three rounds of the tournament and finished with a final score of 874 to lead the teams advancing to the NCAA Finals.  Also moving forward were Vanderbilt (899), Purdue (902), Tennessee (904), Virginia (905), Ohio State (908), North Carolina State (911) and Arkansas (913).
