Kenosha, Wis. - Butler claimed the Horizon League men's and women's tournament crowns today at UW-Parkside. The men now own seven consecutive championship titles, while the women have earned seven titles in nine years. The women competed on a 5000-meter course, while the men ran on an 8000-meter course. The championship was held at UW-Parkside in Kenosha, Wis. and was hosted by UW-Milwaukee. Final team finishes and point totals are listed below

Butler seniors Victoria Mitchell (18:02) and Andrew Sherman (25:31) claimed the individual champion titles. Butler's Genni Gardner earned the 2004 women's Newcomer of the Year award, as UW-Milwaukee's Joe Wawrzyniak received the men's Newcomer of the Year award. Butler Coach Joe Franklin was awarded the 2004 Coach of the Year award.
