INDIANAPOLIS – Butler senior forward Brittany Bowen has been named Horizon League Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for the week of Jan 3.
Bowen averaged 19 points, and added 17 rebounds and six assists, helping the Bulldogs go 2-0 on the road last week.
The Columbus, Ind., native had 19 points, nine rebounds and four assists on Thursday in a 70-58 win over the Raiders. She then posted 19 points and eight boards in a 72-66 victory over the Titans.
Bowen shot .577 from the field, netting 15-of-26, and .500 from behind the arc, connecting on 5-for-10 3-pointers.
In League play, Bowen is averaging 18.7 points, nine rebounds and three assists per game
Butler welcomes Cleveland State on Thursday for a 7pm ET contest. The Bulldogs then host Youngstown State on Saturday; tipoff is set for 2pm.
