INDIANAPOLIS -- Butler sophomore Jenna Cobb is the Horizon League Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, for the period from Jan. 30-Feb. 5 after helping the Bulldogs move to over .500 in conference play with two road victories last weekend.

On Thursday against Cleveland State, Cobb had a career-high 21 points and also pulled down seven rebounds as Butler defeated the Vikings, 68-60.

On Saturday at Youngstown State, Cobb had nine points, seven assists and just one turnover as the Bulldogs defeated the Penguins by two, 65-63.

For the weekend, Cobb shot 55 percent from the field (11-20), including 3-5 from three-point range. She also had four steals

Butler (10-12, 6-5) is next in action on Saturday, Feb. 11 when it hosts Valparaiso (6-16, 2-9). Tipoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET.

Other Top Performers for the Week:
Ashley Varner, Valparaiso (Sr., F) - Varner scored a career-high 26 points and had 13 rebounds in Valparaiso’s win at Cleveland State. For the week, she averaged 18.0 points and 8.0 rebounds.

Senee Shearer, Detroit (So., G) - Shearer averaged 19.0 points last weekend as the Titans went 2-0. Nine of her 11 field goals were three-pointers and she tied her career-high with five three-pointers made against UIC.

Sarah Eichler, Green Bay (Jr., F) - Eichler scored 16 points, shooting 3-of-4 from three-point range, as Green Bay remained undefeated with a victory over Milwaukee.

Abby Skube, Loyola (Jr., F) -Skube averaged 18.5 points and 5.5 rebounds last week. She had 18 points, five rebounds and four assists in the Ramblers win over Wright State.

Molly Fox, Wright State (Sr., C) - Fox had a career-high 30 points and also pulled down 11 rebounds in Wright State’s game against Loyola.

Brandi Brown, Youngstown State (Jr., F) - Brown averaged 21.5 points and 7.5 rebounds last week for the Penguins. She moved into ninth place on YSU’s career scoring list and recorded her 800th career rebound last week.

Kiara Strickland, UIC (Sr., G/F) - Strickland averaged 17.5 points and 11 rebounds last week. She had a career-high 20 points against Wright State and now has had three straight double-double games.

Shalonda Winton, Cleveland State (Jr., F) - Winton averaged 25.0 points and 10.5 rebounds last week in the Vikings two games. She had her 10th double-double of the season with 22 points and 14 rebounds against Butler.
