INDIANAPOLIS -- Butler’s James Martin (Fort Wayne, Ind.) and Milwaukee’s Aaron Dillon (Milwaukee, Wis.) have been named the Horizon League Men’s Track and Field Athletes of the Week for the week of Jan. 16 - 22.

Martin, a distance runner for the Bulldogs, competed in the 5000m run at the Gladstein Invitational and gave Butler its only win of the meet. The red-shirt sophomore finished first out of 22 competitors with a time of 14:49.47. He was the only runner in the competition to break the 15-minute mark.

Milwaukee freshman Dillon competed in the triple jump, long jump and 60m hurdles in a dual with Marquette. His winning triple jump leap of 14.60m is the fifth-best mark in Panther history. In the long jump he had a distance of 6.22m and took fourth in the hurdles in 8.59 seconds.

Butler will be back in action Jan. 27-28 at the Indiana Relays in Bloomington, Ind. Milwaukee will compete at the two-day Jack Jennett Invitational in Cedar Falls, Iowa on Jan. 27 and 28.
