INDIANAPOLIS - Cleveland State University sophomore Mark deSwadt has been named the Horizon League Men’s Swimmer of the Week, while University of Wisconsin-Green Bay sophomore Daniel Pogue earned Men’s Diver of the Week accolades for the period of Nov. 9-15.

DeSwardt swept all five of his individual events last week during two home meets.  On Saturday, deSwardt touched the wall first in the 500- and 1,000-meter freestyle and the 200 butterfly, timing in at 4:36.35, 9:27.25 and 1:53.25, respectively.  Both freestyle times are personal-bests for the Durban, South Africa, native.  In Tuesday’s meet, deSwardt claimed gold in the 500 free (4:37.02) and the 400 individual medley (4:01.05).

This marks the first award for deSwardt this season and the sixth of his career.

Pogue qualified for the NCAA Zone Diving Regionals from the three-meter height this past Thursday in a home meet against South Dakota State University. The reigning conference diver of the week totaled 323.33 points from the three-meter board and 275.25 off the one-meter board.  The Chisholm, Minn., native also won his events on Friday (one-meter and three-meter) and Saturday (three-meter) against St. Cloud State University.

Pogue takes home his third weekly honor of the season and the fourth of his career.
