Cleveland State Downs Youngstown State 64-58 in Horizon League Women's Basketball Action

Cleveland, Ohio - Youngstown State fell 64-58 to Cleveland State at the Wolstein Center on Wednesday. With the win, the Vikings advance to 2-7 in the Horizon League and 3-18 on the season. With the loss, the Penguins drop to 3-7 in the League and 9-12 overall. CSU used a 12-3 run to mid-way through the first half to take a 29-21 lead entering the break. YSU answered with a 13-2 run early in the second period to take a 34-33 advantage. However, the Vikings fought to regain the lead at the 14:40 mark and never looked back. Cleveland State placed four scorers in the double figures led by Betsy Bowser who recorded 17 points. Jill Barnbrook followed with 12 points and seven rebounds. Kristy Gaudiose led the Penguin attack with 17 points and six boards, while Jen Perugini chipped in a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds.
