The 2010 Horizon League Tennis Championships concluded Sunday, as the Cleveland State men and UIC women won League titles. For the third year in a row the Viking men defeated UIC, with the match being decided by the No. 1 singles match. Phil Orno edged Sebastian Lystad (6-4, 6-4), to clinch the third-straight title for the Vikings under Head Coach Brian Etzkin.

On the women's side, UIC defeated Detroit, 4-0, in the Titan's second finals appearance in the last two years. The Flames won their 14th-consecutive League championship with the victory as Mariya Kovaleva downed Carolina Salas Espinosa at No. 1 singles (6-3, 6-2), to clinch the ninth-consecutive crown under Head Coach Shannon Tully.

The third place consolation matches were cancelled due to the rain as the championships were moved indoors to the Indianapolis Racquet Clubs for the finals.

Cleveland State and UIC will go on to represent the Horizon League in the NCAA tournaments. Brackets will be announced next week.
