INDIANAPOLIS -- Four teams are in action tonight in the final tune-up before the conference schedule goes on a brief hiatus when all nine Horizon League men's basketball teams play in ESPN's Ramada BracketBusters series this weekend.
Wright State and Cleveland State play tonight's first game, tipping at 7 p.m. EST from the Wolstein Center. It is the last home game of the regular season for the Vikings, who will be celebrating Senior Night in honor of Tim Kamczyc, the lone senior on CSU's roster.
The Raiders hit nine 3-pointers in the previous matchup this season as Wright State rolled to a 69-53 victory at home. WSU had won three straight games before taking a loss at home to Valparaiso over a week ago. After eight days off, the Raiders need a win tonight to stay in the hunt for a regular season Horizon League title.
Cleveland State is a tough matchup, however. The Vikings broke a three-game losing streak with a win at Milwaukee on Saturday and are 9-4 at home this season including wins over Detroit, UIC and Youngstown State while also playing Valparaiso closer than the 80-72 final score.
UIC travels to Milwaukee in tonight's second game, schedule to tip at 8 p.m. EST. It is the final home game of the regular season for the Panthers, who will celebrate the careers of five seniors: Paris Gulley, James Haarsma, Ryan Haggerty, Demetrius Harris and Christian Wolf.
The Flames picked up a 10-point comeback win in the first game between the teams this season, holding Milwaukee to just eight second-half points. Most recently, UIC fell 69-60 at in-city conference rival Loyola, but a win tonight would put the Flames back at .500 in the Horizon League.
Milwaukee to coming off a pair of losses during a two-game road trip to the state of Ohio. The Panthers picked up a big win in their most recent home game, though, beating the Ramblers 71-53.
Both of tonight's game will be available on HLN.
