CLEVELAND, Ohio - The big day finally arrived for Cleveland State senior men's swimmer Nedim Nisic as he competed in the 100 butterfly at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, China earlier today.

Nisic, who was representing his home country of Bosnia, swam in the second of nine heats in the event, finishing seventh with a time of 57.16.

"Nedim represented his country well with a great effort," CSU Director of Competitive Aquatics Wally Morton said. " As the only Bosnian swimmer he prepared with determination, but unfortunately did not reach his goal time. The experience he has had will last a lifetime. It was great to see Nedim representing his country and CSU and I am proud of him. He will be a success in life."
