PENDLETON, Ind. - Danielle Young went 3-for-3 with three runs-batted-in and Amanda Macenko pitched her second strong game of the tournament to lead Cleveland State University past Wright State University 8-2 Friday in the Horizon League Softball Championship at Legends Field in Pendleton, Ind.

With the win, Cleveland State (33-15) exacted a big of revenge after falling to the Raiders in the championship game each of the past two years. Wright State's loss ended a nine-game tournament winning streak.

Two-run home runs by Amanda Houchin in the first inning and Young in the second put the Vikings up 4-0 and chased Raiders starter Sharon Palma.

Jamie Perkins' leadoff home run in the top of the fifth cut the lead to 4-2, but Cleveland State countered with four in the sixth to put the game away.

The Vikings advance to meet top-seed and regular-season champion University of Illinois at Chicago tonight at 8 p.m. ET. The winner will advance to Saturday's championship game.

Wright State (33-20) will next play Saturday at 11 a.m. in the consolation bracket.

Palma (19-11) took the loss, giving up four runs in 1 2/3 innings.
