INDIANAPOLIS – Cleveland State’s Gasparin is the Horizon League Men’s Swimmer of the Week and Green Bay’s Daniel Pogue is the Men’s Diver of the Week for Nov 2-8.
Gasparin, a senior from Zagreb, Croatia took first-place in the 200 Breaststroke (2:05.90) and helped his 200 Free Relay (1:23.88) team win on Friday against Denison. He took second-place in the 100 breaststroke (57.12) and helped the 200 Medley Relay (1:35.26) team finish third against Ohio State.
Pogue, a junior from Chisholm, Minn. has won diver of the week honors for the third week in a row. Green Bay traveled to South Dakota and South Dakota State where Pogue won all diving events and broke a pool record at each natatorium. At South Dakota State he scored 284.24 points in the 1-meter dive and 312.90 in the 3-meter dive, a HPER Center Pool record. At South Dakota, he broke a USD Swimming Pool record in the 3-meter dive (289.95) and earned 310.57 points in the 1-meter dive.
Cleveland State returns to action on Saturday at 1pm (EST) against St. Bonaventure. Green Bay hosts St. Cloud State on Friday at 6pm (CST) and Saturday at 2pm (CST).
