INDIANAPOLIS - Cleveland State University junior guard Kailey Klein has been named Horizon League Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the period of Dec. 15-21. It is Klein's fourth career weekly honor from the Horizon League office.

Klein, a native of Cherry, Ill., averaged 22.7 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.7 steals per game in CSU's three contests last week.

Klein began the week by scoring 30 points and collecting six rebounds in the Vikings' loss at No. 17 Ohio State on Dec. 15. After scoring 13 points in a loss at Ohio on Dec. 19, she posted 25 points, nine rebounds, six assists and four steals in an 80-61 win over Niagara on Dec. 21.

The 5-foot-11 junior made all 26 of her free throw attempts during the three outings, including a 14-for-14 performance against Niagara. For the season, she is fifth in the Horizon League with an .872 free throw percentage. Her 75 free throws made is the League's highest total by 30.
