INDIANAPOLIS –Cleveland State’s Joanna Olsson is the Horizon League Women’s Swimmer of the Week and Youngstown State’s Casey Hill is the Women’s Diver of the Week for Nov 16-22.
Olsson, a sophomore from Stockholm, Sweden has earned her first swimming of the week honors for the season while breaking Cleveland State records along with two Horizon League records. She won the 400 Individual Medley (4:20.09) and took second-place in the 500 Freestyle (4:53.56) and 200 Individual Medley (2:04.86) last weekend at the Northwestern TYR Invitational. She is currently leading the Horizon League in all of the individual events she competed in.
Hill, a sophomore from Bethlehem, Penn. has won diver of the week for the fourth time this season. She competed in the Radford Invitational last weekend, winning both diving events she competed in. Hill earned a 247.85 in the one-meter dive and recorded a 262.50 in the three-meter dive.
Cleveland State will host the City College Meet on Nov. 30. Diving competition will begin at 3:00pm (EST) with swimming competition starting at 5pm. Youngstown State is off until the new year competing at Ohio on January 7, 2011.
