Men's Soccer Player of the Week

INDIANAPOLIS – Cleveland State sophomore goalkeeper Brad Stuver (Twinsburg, Ohio) has been named Horizon League Men’s Soccer Player of the Week, for the week beginning Oct. 4.
Stuver helped lead the Vikings to a 2-0 mark on the week, beginning with a 2-0 combined shutout of Pittsburgh on Wednesday. The sophomore posted his second straight shutout in Cleveland State’s 1-0 win over Valparaiso on Saturday evening.
The goalkeeper, who entered the weekend as the Horizon League leader in saves, recorded eight over the two matches, increasing his league-leading total to 54. Stuver posted three saves over the first 82:30 to lead Cleveland State to the win over the BIG EAST foe.
On Saturday, Stuver came up with five saves to help the Vikings move into a tie for third in the Horizon League with 9 points.
Holding a 6-6-0 record and a 3-2-0 rmark in the conference, Cleveland State wraps up a five-match homestand on Monday, Oct. 11, when they host Buffalo at 4 p.m. ET. The Vikings hit the road over the weekend, first meeting Detroit in a Horizon League contest at 4 p.m. ET on Friday, Oct. 15, before taking on IUPUI in a non-conference match at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday, Oct. 17.
