INDIANAPOLIS -- Cleveland State runner Allison Craine (Austintown, Ohio) and Detroit freshman Ryan Hofsess (Milford, Mich.) have been named Horizon League Runners of the Week, for the week of Oct. 3 - Oct. 10.

Craine picks up her second Runner of the Week honor this season (Sept. 19) after taking home sixth place at the Shawnee State Invite. She covered the 5K course in 19:40 and ran a sub-20 minute 5K for the third time this season. The Vikings finished second out of eight teams at the meet. Throughout the season, the senior has paced the CSU pack and has finished in the top-10 four times (Detroit Titan Invitational - 9th, Friendship Invitational - 4th, Ohio Invitational - 5th, Shawnee State - 6th).

Detroit’s Hofsess was the first Titan to cross the finish line at the Michigan Intercollegiate Championships. He completed the 8K course in 27:55 for 58th place overall. Hofsess was just 20 seconds off his personal best time of 27:35, which he set at the Notre Dame Invitational on Sept. 16. The freshman lead Detroit to 12th place finish out of 22 teams. This is the first Runner of the Week honor of his collegiate career.

Cleveland State will be back in action on Oct. 14 when they travel to University Park, Pa. for the Penn State National. Detroit will also be competing on Oct. 15 when they travel to Guelph, Ontario to run at the Vic Matthews Open.
