Regional Results From Around The Nation

Butler's Andy Baker placed second a the Great Lakes Cross Country Regional Saturday at West Lafayette, Ind., leading the Bulldogs to third place in the team standings. Butler, the Horizon League champion, will compete in the NCAA Cross Country Championship on Saturday, Nov. 24 at Terre Haute, Ind.

Baker again established himself as one of the nation's top runners with a second place individual finish in the regional meet, hosted by Purdue. He covered the 10K layout on the Purdue Varsity Cross Country Course in 31:12.5, finishing just six seconds behind individual winner Patrick Smyth of Notre Dame. Chris Lemon of Dayton came in third 19 seconds later.
