INDIANAPOLIS -- Loyola's Colleen Donovan and Danny Docherty repeat as Cross Country Athletes of the Week after strong performances over the weekend.

Women's Athlete of the Week

Junior Colleen Donovan turned in a stellar 5K time of 18:09, which was good for third place at the Crusader Invitational at Valparaiso, Ind., Saturday. The Ramblers placed second in the teams standings, ahead of league foes Green Bay and Valparaiso.

Men's Athlete of the Week

Freshman Danny Docherty claimed his second individual title in as many weekends, winning the 6K Crusader Invitational wth a time of 19:31. His effort led Loyola to the team title, the Ramblers' second first-place showing this season.

Other Top Horizon League Performances

KRIS GAUSON, BUTLER
Edinburgh, Scotland

Placed sixth of 55 runners at the Great American Legends meet at Purdue, clocking a time of 26:17.15 in the 8K run.

ANDREW HAYNER, DETROIT
Royal Oak, Mich.

Clocked a four-mile time of 20:46, placing 13th at the Running Fit Detroit Titan Invitational.

CHRIS HONIG, VALPARAISO
Glen Ellyn, Ill.

Finished third at 6K Crusader Invitational wth time of 19:39.

MARBETH, SHIELL, BUTLER
Edinburgh, Scotland

Shiell was BU's top finisher at the Great American Legends meet at Purdue, registering a 19:41.08. She placed 20th of 67.

COLLEEN CONWAY, CLEVELAND STATE
North Olmsted, Ohio

Conway led the VIkings at the Tommy Evans Invitational at Akron, finishing 18th overall with a 5K time of 20:12.

KRISTIE FERRANS, DETROIT
Carleton, Mich.

Ferrans topped her career high with a 5K time of 19:42 at the Running Fit Detroit Titan Invitational.

Loyola freshman Danny Docherty was named Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week for the second time in as many weeks.
