MALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Freshman, Fort Wayne, Ind.



Reifenberg led the Rambler men at the Illinois Intercollegiate Friday (Sept. 14) with a time of 25:52.57. He placed 30th out of 213 competitors, and helped Loyola finish eighth among 22 schools in the team race.

FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Valparaiso
Junior, Rochester, Mich.



Rolf won the Boston College Open Friday with a career-best time of 17:14. Her time was the second-fastest in Crusader history, and her effort helped Valpo earn seventh out of 10 teams. Rolf has now placed in the top-five nine times during her career.

Liederbach's 35th place finish helped the Titans take home a seventh place overall team finish at the National Catholics Invitational on Friday (Sept. 14). His debut time in was 26:14, just two minutes off of the winning time.

Alex Sutphen
UIC
Jr., Hoffman Estates, Ill.



Sutphen led the Flame men at the Illinois Intercollegiate on Friday, finishing 43rd out of 213 competitors with a time of 26:08.

Leandro Schultz
Valparaiso
Jr., Valley View, Ohio



Schultz led the Valpo men at the Boston College Open, covering the course in 26:01 and earning 30th place out of 82 runners. It was the first time in his career he paced the Valpo team.

Ryan Miller
Green Bay
Sr., Mequon, Wis.



Miller placed 66th out of 263 competitors at the UW-Parkside Midwest Open on Saturday (Sept. 15) to lead Green Bay for the third straight event. Overall, the Phoenix placed 12th out of 20 schools.

Evan Firestone

Fr., Yellow Springs, Ohio



Firestone posted his second consecutive top-ten finish at the Cedarville Invitational on Saturday, with a time of 26:14.

Other Top Female Performers

Allison Craine
Cleveland State
Fr., Austintown, Ohio



For the third straight week, Craine was CSU's top finisher, placing 33rd overall at the Mel Brodt Invitational with a personal best time of 19:02.

Kayleigh Toombs
Detroit
Fr., Byron Center, Mich.



Toombs continued a her strong freshman campaign by leading the Titans with a time of 20:28. This was the second time this season she has been the top Titan finisher.

Jolene Sell
Green Bay
So., Menasha, Wis.



Sell earned 70th place out of 255 runners at the UW-Parkside Midwest Open, leading Green Bay to 14th place out of 21 schools. Sell has led the Phoenix in all three events this season.

Pam Staton

Jr., Ingelside, Ill.



Staton led the Rambler women at the Illinois Intercollegiate on Friday with her time of 18:46.33, placing 19th overall.

Olivia Myers

Fr., Normal, Ill.



Myers earned 20th place out of 207 competitors at the Illinois Intercollegiate with a time of 18:48, leading her team to an 11th-place finish out of 20 teams.

Natalie Hopwood
Wright State
Huber Heights, Ohio



Hopwood led WSU to a fifth place finish and a personal best time of 19:36 at the Cedarville Invitational on Saturday. Her effort was good for 24th place, out of 177 competitors.
