MALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Sutphen led the Flames at the UIC Home Opener by finishing sixth out of 63 participants. His time of 21:37 in the 4.1 mile race was the best among Horizon League competitors.

FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Pam Staton
Loyola
Junior, Ingelside, Ill.

Staton ran the two-mile race in a time of 11:35, first among Horizon League runners, and sixth overall at the UIC Home Opener.

Matt Lawder

Fr., St. Louis, MO.

Lawder placed first in the men's 6K race at the Purdue Open, earning a time of 19:21.63. Lawder finished three seconds ahead of runner up Matt DeSilva of Purdue, and was one of only five runners in the race to break 20 minutes.

Ryan Miller
Green Bay
Sr., Mequon, Wis..

Miller placed 19th overall to lead Green Bay at the UIC Home Opener. His time of 22:04 ranked him sixth among Horizon League runners.

Ben Reifenberg
Loyola
Fr., Fort Wayne, Ind.

Reifenberg earned ninth place at the UIC Home Opener in his collegiate debut with a time of 21:43.

Allison Craine
Cleveland State
Fr., Austintown, Ohio

Craine began her college career as the top Vikings finisher at the Bill Sudeck Invitational, running a personal best time of 20:16 to earn 16th place.

Jolene Sell
Green Bay
So., Menasha, Wis.

Sell was Green Bay's top finisher at the UIC Home Opener with a time of 12:23 in the two-mile event.

Olivia Myers

Fr., Normal, Ill.

Myers began her college career by leading UIC and finishing in eighth place with a time of 11:39 in the two-mile race.
