Men's Athlete of the Week
Andrew Sherman, Butler, Senior, Wiltshire, U.K.
Sherman led the Bulldogs to a runner-up finish at the Roy Griak Invitational with a 12th place individual finish in 24:39. He finished behind six runners from top-ranked Wisconisn and the top runners from Arizona, Arizona State, Minnesota, Illinois and Kansas, and he was just three seconds shy of tenth place.
Women's Athlete of the Week
Marie McVetta, Wright State, Sophomore, Grafton, Ohio
McVetta set a carreer best in the 5K of 18:31 to place seventh at the Greater Louisville Classic. This was her third straight top ten finish.
Other Top Men's Performers
Mead Goedert, Detroit, Junior, Omaha, Neb.
Goedert set a new personal record of 33:29 to place 17th at the Western International meet. He was over one minute off his time last year at the same meet.
Cory Scheadler, Wright State, Senior, Ripley, Ohio
Sheadler finished ninth at the Greater Louisville Classic. The third straight top ten finish at 25:06 was his best of the season.
Nate Weiland, UW-Milwaukee, Junior, Waunakee, Wis.
Weiland finished 80th to lead the Panthers to finish 21st at the Roy Griak Invitational. The Waunakee native completed the course in 25:57, while running against some of the top competition in the nation.

Andrea Karl, Detroit, Junior, Casco, Mich.
Karl set a new personal record of 18:52 to place tenth at the Western International meet.
Anna Christian, UW-Milwaukee, Senior, Horicon, Wis.
Christian finished 69th leading the Panthers for the second straight week at the Roy Griak Invitational. The 2004 all-league first team honoree finished in 22:42 against the nation's elite runners.
Victoria Mitchell, Butler, Senior, Mansfield, Victoria
Mitchell helped lead Butler to a sixth place team finish at the Roy Griak Invitational with a 15th place finish. She covered the 6K course in 21:34. She was just seven seconds shy of a top ten finish.
