Men's Athlete of the Week
Nick Goodliffe, Butler, Senior, Grafton, Manchester, U.K.
Goodliffe placed 17th of 256 runners in the Blue Race at the NCAA Pre-National Meet held at Indiana State last weekend. He covered the 8K championship course in 24:29 to notch the "Top 20" finish. The Butler senior helped the Bulldogs to a seventh place finish in the competition.

Women's Athlete of the Week
Victoria Mitchell, Butler, Senior, Mansfield, Victoria,Australia
Mitchell finished 21st of 252 runners in the Blue Race at the NCAA Pre-National Meet hosted by Indiana State University. Mitchell posted a time of 21:13.3 in the women's 6K course to claim a "Top 25" individual finish. She helped Butler to a 12th-place team finish.

Other Men's Top Performers
Mead Goedert, Detroit, Junior, Omaha, Neb.
Goedert was once again the Titans' top runner, this time at the National Invitational, hosted by Penn State. Goedert crossed the line in a time of 27:21 for the 5.2 mile course.

Sam Watson, UIC, Sophomore, Oak Park, Ill.
Watson continued his fine sophomore season for the Flames withhis second consecutive team-leading finish, this time at the UW-Parkside Invitational. Watson ran the same course used for this year's Horizon League Championship in 26:22, taking 28th out of the 249-competitor event.

Sam Romanoski, Loyola, Sophomore, Lake Zurich, Ill.
Romanoski led the Rambler men's cross country team to a fifthplace finish at the Chili Pepper Invite in Arkansas. Romanoskifinished the course in 30:51.9 in 31st place out of over 250 competitors.

Josh Nygren, UW-Milwaukee, Junior, Marinette, Wis.
Nygren took 90th at the Pre-National Meet to lead the Panthersagainst the toughest teams in the nation. The junior completed the 10,000-meter course in 25:14.

Cory Scheadler, Wright State, Senior, Ripley, Ohio
Scheadler took a 54th-place finish at the Pre-National Meet onSaturday with a time of 26:04 in the 8K race.

Jeremy Riehm, Youngstown State, Senior, Old Fort, Ohio
Riehm paced the men's team to a victory at the Bowling GreenInvitational on Saturday with a third-place time of 26:11 on the 8K course. The win was YSU's first since it won the Walt Disney World Cross Country Classic in 1999.

Other Women's Top Performers
Andrea Karl, Detroit, Junior, Casco, Mich.
Karl set a new personal record at the National Invitational. Karl's time of 22:36 for the 6K course broke her old mark by 1:18. She was 83rd overall.

Susie Martinez, UIC, Sophomore, Chicago, Ill.
In her forth straight team-leading finish, Martinez paced the flames at the UW-Parkside Invitational with a 19:45 5K time, finishing 41st out of 215 runners.

Maureeca Lambert, Loyola, Sophomore, Bloomington, Ill.
Lambert led the Rambler women's cross-country team to an 8th-place finish at the Chili Pepper Invite. She finished the course in 21:45 for 25th-place. In every single meet this year, Lambert has been the top finisher with the Chili Pepper Invite being her fourth.

Anna Christian, UW-Milwaukee, Senior, Horicon, Wis.
Christian took second place among scored runners to lead Milwaukee to a second-place team finish in the open race at the Pre-National Invitational. With a time of 22:05 on the 6000-meter course, she finished just eight seconds off the leader's pace.

Marie McVetta, Wright State, Sophomore, Grafton, Ohio
McVetta took 67th at the Pre-National Meet on Saturday with a time of 23:21 at the distance of 6K.

Emily Schnitkey, Youngstown State, Junior, Napoleon, Ohio
Schnitkey won the women's individual crown with a 5K time of 18:15 as the YSU women placed third at the Bowling Green Invitational. Her finish marked the first individual victory for any YSU cross country athlete since she won the Malone Invitational as a freshman in 2001.
