CSU's Gonzalez, YSU's Hill Named Divers of the Week

INDIANAPOLIS -- Cleveland State’s Josh Gonzalez and Youngstown State’s Casey Hill are the Horizon League Men’s and Women’s Divers of the Week for Nov. 14-20.

Gonzalez, a senior from Brunswick, Ohio earned diver of the week after for the third time this fall after placing first and setting career-highs in the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events at the TYR Invitational hosted by Northwestern. He won the 1-meter dive with a score of 324.00, besting 11 other competitors, and won the 3-meter dive with a score of 335.30, also defeating 11 other divers.

Cleveland State is back in action on Nov. 29 when it hosts the Cleveland Dual Meet Invite.

Hill, a junior from Bethlehem, Pa., won the women’s diver of the week award for the third time this season after breaking her own meet records at the Highlander Invitational. Hill won the 1-meter event with a score of 254.80 and the 3-meter dive with a score 277.85, defeating seven other competitors in both events.

Youngstown State does not compete again until January.
