INDIANAPOLIS - Cleveland State University sophomore forward Justin Mancine has been named Horizon League Men's Soccer Player of the Week for the period of Sept. 21-27.

A native of Aurora, Ohio, Mancine scored both of the Cleveland State's goals last week as the Vikings began League play with a win and a draw and also evened their overall record of 3-3-2. He netted the game-winner with 62 seconds remaining in a 1-0 victory Friday over Loyola University Chicago and hit the back of the net again in the 70th minute to tie the score in an eventual 1-1 draw Sunday with preseason League favorite University of Illinois at Chicago.

The goals were the first two of his career for Mancine, who was named to the Horizon League's All-Newcomer Team last fall.

Cleveland State hits the road this week for matches at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Friday (1-7-1, 0-1-1 Horizon League) and University of Wisconsin-Green Bay (6-1-2, 1-1-0) Sunday.
