INDIANAPOLIS -- Youngstown State junior Dorian Davis (Trotwood, Ohio) and Loyola sophomore Alison Szykowny (Palos Heights, Ill.) have earned Horizon League Indoor Field Athletes of the Week honors.

It is the first award of the season for either.

Davis took first place in the triple jump, posting a distance of 14.40m at the YSU Invitational. The mark was a personal best for Davis, outdistancing his previous career-high by .36m and beating out a field of nine competitors.

The Penguins will return to action this weekend in the YSU National Invitational.

Szykowny set a new school record with her 18.05m toss in the weight throw, besting her own record by 1.47m and beating out a field of 14 at the Chicago Duals. She also won the shot put event at the meet, with a toss of 13.42m to beat a field of 16 competitors.

The Ramblers compete again this weekend at the Meyo Invitational in South Bend, Ind.
