After two days of competition at the 2010 Horizon League Swimming and Diving Championships, Milwaukee owns 278 team points to pilot the men while Green Bay jumps into the lead on the women's side with 316 points.
The men's race is shaping up to be a tight finish with UIC four points behind the Panthers in second place and Cleveland State sitting third with 271 points. Milwaukee benefited from a well-balanced attack tonight, recording one second-place finish and two third-place finishes.
Green Bay holds a distinct lead in the women's event as second-place team Milwaukee owns 290 points and Wright State totaled 261.5 for third. The Phoenix had a sensational night, taking four of the five event finals, including notching a 1-2 performance in the 500-yard free with Amber Bartholomew and Shannon Demrow, respectivley.
Action kicks off again tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. with prelims of the 400 IM.
