A funny story I thought I'd share deals with our team's insatiable sweet tooth. When we're at restaurants on the road, taking post-game food orders, or even at team meals, one question always remains: "Will there be dessert?" On most days the answer is "no." But, every now and then we are allowed to treat ourselves... that is, if we earn it.
As a form of inspiration, and somewhat amusing motivation for one game, Coach P promised us ice cream for every shot clock violation we could force on our opponents. Sure enough, we've had a few shot clock violations since then.
So when the clock winds down and our bench erupts at the sound of the horn, maybe you'll have a better understanding of our fiery enthusiasm. It's what I like to call our "Coldstone defense."
