INDIANAPOLIS - Valparaiso sophomore Kevin DeHerrera and Wright State junior Kenisha Webb have been named Horizon League Tennis Players of the Week for the period of March 8-14.

DeHerrera, a native of Littleton, Colo., earned three singles and two doubles victories for Valparaiso last week. He posted triumphs at No. 5 singles against Boston University (7-6, 1-7, 6-2) and Monmouth (6-2, 6-1) and at No. 6 singles against Fairfield (6-4, 3-6, 6-4). DeHerrera also teamed with Michael Woodson to register wins at No. 3 doubles against Boston (8-2) and Monmouth (8-3).

Webb, a native of Flossmoor, Ill., went 4-0 on the weekend with two wins at No. 1 singles and two more at No. 1 doubles. She posted a 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 victory against Oakland on Friday and 6-3, 4-6, 11-9 win versus IUPUI on Saturday. Webb also teamed with Masha Peresetsky to register an 8-4 win over Oakland and 8-1 triumph against IUPUI.

The Valparaiso men travel to Green Bay on Saturday. The Wright State women are set to host Detroit on Friday.
