Ohio State 3, Detroit 0 - Second Round
Ohio State scored three second half goals to down Detroit 3-0 in the second round of the NCAA Tournament in Columbus, Ohio on Sunday. The Titans were led by Mary Parker who recorded three shots and goalkeeper Alisson Dube who tallied six saves for the contest. The Horizon League Champions end the season with a 14-8-1 record.

Detroit 3, Michigan 2 - First Round
Detroit netted three first half goals to defeat Big Ten foe Michigan on Friday in Columbus, Ohio. Allison Epple kicked off the scoring when she found the back of the net off of a penalty kick at the 13:24 mark. Less than 10 minutes later, Kathy Banjavcic scored from 16 yards out off of a pass from Mandi Jasky. With just over a minute before halftime, it was Banjavcic who netted the third goal to take a 3-0 Titan lead. The Wolverines added two second-half goals, but it was not enough to secure the win. Detroit will face the winner of the Ohio State/Bowling Green match on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. EST in Columbus, Ohio.

Quarterfinals Recap - Nov. 4 - Kuntz Stadium
No. 1 UW-Milwaukee 4, No. 8 Cleveland State 1
Top-seeded UW-Milwaukee defeated No. 8 Cleveland State in the first-round of the Horizon League Championship on Thursday afternoon in a cold, damp and blustery Kuntz Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind. The Panthers started off quickly on a goal from Andrea Kramer in the 15th minute, but neither team could manage a goal the remainder of the first half as the score sat 1-0 in favor of UWM. In the second half, the Panthers struck again early when Elizabeth Chudy found the back of the net at the 47:37 mark to push the lead to 2-0, but the Vikings would draw near just moments later when Heather Clapacs netted an unassisted goal at the 48:04 mark. With the score at 2-1, Milwaukee would go on to score two unanswerwed goals, coming from Sara Lewis and Elizabeth McNally, to runaway with a 4-1 victory. Panther goalkeeper Kerri St. Aubin tallied two saves, while CSU's Ashley Kidwell stopped four shots on the day. UW-Milwaukee is now (11-7-2) and will play No. 4 Loyola on Friday at 11:30 a.m. at Varsity Field. Cleveland State concludes its inaugural season at 0-20.

No. 4 Loyola 1, No. 5 Wright State 0 (OT)
No. 4 Loyola defeated No. 5 Wright State in overtime to advance out of the quarterfinals of the Horizon League Championship held at Kuntz Stadium on Thursday. The game-winner was scored by Heather Lau at the 91:24 mark. The goal resulted from a Rambler corner kick, which led to a loose ball within firing range of the Raider net. Wright State outshot Loyola 18-11, while the Ramblers held a 4-3 corner kick advantage. Horizon League Newcomer of the Year Julie Kenkel recorded three shots, including one on goal. The Raiders were led by Kim Chianese who tallied four shots, one on goal. WSU goalkeeper Steph Comisar picked up four saves for the contest, while LUC's Emily Peick finished the day with five.

No. 2 Detroit 2, No. 7 Youngstown State 1 (OT)
Detroit picked up a close 2-1 overtime win over Youngstown State in the Horizon League quarterfinals on Thursday. The game remained scoreless until UDM's Kathy Banjavcic headed in a ball at the 48:08 mark. The Penguins promptly responded six minutes later as Sadie Brookman scored an unassisted goal from 10 yards out. The Titans capped off the scoring less than a minute into overtime as Shelly Piccirillo netted a ball to the upper right corner of the goal. Detroit owned a 36-3 shooting advantage and was carried by Banjavcic who tallied eight shots and Judith Atwood who recorded seven. Youngstown State's Caitlin Bestard stopped 11 shots while UDM's Alisson Dube stopped one.

No. 6 UW-Green Bay 1, No. 3 Butler 0
UW-Green Bay defeated Butler 1-0 for the first time since 1994, in the concluding quarterfinal match of the Horizon League Championship. UWGB's Allison Brunner netted an unassisted goal at the 1:53 mark, which was enough to seal the victory and slide past the Bulldogs to advance to the semifinal round. Butler outshot the Phoenix 11-7 and held a 4-2 corner kick advantage. BU was led by Ashley Twehues who recorded three shots and Katie Sanders who picked up two saves. Green Bay's Lauren Wood finished the contest with three shots as goalkeeper Brooke Wikgren tallied four saves. The Phoenix will be back in action at 2:30 on Friday to face No. 2 Detroit at Butler's Varsity Field.

Semifinals - Nov. 5 - Varsity Field (Butler)
No. 1 UW-Milwaukee 0, No. 4 Loyola 0 (UWM, 5-4 shootout)
After both teams played to a scoreless tie after two overtime periods, No. 1 UW-Milwaukee advanced to the championship match of the Horizon League tournament after winning a 5-4 shootout with Loyola on Friday at Varsity Field in Indianapolis, Ind. Both squads fought to a scoreless tie at the end of 110 minutes, forcing the match into a decisive shootout. After both teams traded three goals, Panther goalkeeper Kerri St. Aubin stopped a Julie Kenkel attempt. Milwaukee would net its next goal as did Loyola putting the game on the foot of Pam Shipway. Shipway's shot hit the back of the net past Ramblers netminder Emily Peick for the win. The Panthers advance to the title match where they will face No. 2 Detroit on Sunday at Noon EST at Varsity Field in Indianapolis.

No. 2 Detroit 3, No. 6 UW-Green Bay 0
Detroit will advance to the Horizon League Championship match after defeating UW-Green Bay 3-0 in the second semifinal game held at Varisty Field on Friday. UDM kicked off the scoring early as Allison Epple found the back of the net at the 18:33 mark. Six minutes later, Judith Atwood scored an unassisted goal from six yards out. Atwood capped off the scoring as she netted a goal with 11 minutes left to play. Detroit outscored the Phoenix 11-7. Kathy Banjavcic tallied three Titan shots, while UWGB was led by Stephanie Gross, who recorded four shots for the contest. Goalkeepers Brooke Wikgren and Alisson Dube each stopped three shots on the day. Sunday's championship match will begin at 12:00 EST at Butler's Varsity Field.

Championship Match - Nov. 7 - Varsity Field (Butler)
No. 2 Detroit 1, No. 1 UW-Milwaukee 0
Allison Epple scored the game-winning goal to lead No. 2 Detroit past No. 1 UW-Milwaukee 1-0 in the championship match of the Horizon League Tournament. With the win, the Titans earn their first NCAA Championship bid. Epple headed in the game-winning goal off of a corner kick from Mandi Jasky in the 44th minute of play. Milwaukee was led by Elizabeth Chudy who tallied eight shots, while UDM's Mary Parker recorded three. Titan netminder Alisson Dube picked up five saves, as UWM's Kerri St. Aubin stopped three shots for the contest. Detroit will face Michigan in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday at Ohio State.
