Heading out to British Columbia, Canada, for a 4-game swing, Detroit captured four victories in five nights against Canadian universities.

After appearing in 32 games for the Titans, averaging 4.3 points per game, Patrick Onwenu led the Titans in scoring, reaching double figures in all four games and averaging 15.5 points per game. Juwan Howard, Jr., who led the Titans in scoring in the 2013-14 season, matched Onwenu by posting double-digit scoring efforts in each contest and posting 15.3 ppg.

Jarod Williams, in the three games in which his stats were available, continued to shine for the Titans. The 2014 all-freshman guard scored 12.3 ppg, grabbed 6.0 rebounds and handed out 4.3 assists.

Transfer Patrick Ackerman found his way in the last two games, reaching double figures in both with 10- and 15-point efforts.

Game 1: Detroit 119, Quest University 74
Detroit won the first game of its Vancouver Trip with a 119-74 win over Quest University on Thursday at the Recplex.

Six Titans scored in double figures led by freshman Paris Bass who recorded a double-double with a game-high 19 points and 11 rebounds. Senior forward Juwan Howard Jr. added 16 points, while his classmate Patrick Onwenu pitched in 15 points to go along with nine rebounds.

Junior guard Carlton Brundidge also scored 15 points, while Anton Wilson added 14 and the newest member of the Titan family Brandan Kearney finished with 12.

Game 2: Detroit 86, University of British Columbia 78
Detroit improved to 2-0 on its Vancouver Trip following an 86-78 win over the University of British Columbia Friday night at War Memorial Gym.

Four Titans scored in double figures led by senior forward Juwan Howard Jr. who finished with 18 points, while his classmate Patrick Onwenu pitched in 15 points for the second-straight game. Sophomore guards Matthew Grant and Jarod Williams scored 12 points apiece, while combining for 15 rebounds.

Onwenu also grabbed seven rebounds while recording a game-high five blocked shots.

Game 3: Detroit 81, University of Fraser Valley 70
Detroit improved to 3-0 on its Vancouver Trip following an 81-70 win over the University of Fraser Valley on Sunday afternoon at the Envision Athletic Centre.

Five Titans scored in double figures led by senior forward Patrick Onwenu who finished with 19 points, five rebounds and two blocked shots, while his classmate Juwan Howard Jr. pitched in 12 points with three steals. Sophomore guard Jarod Williams scored 14 points with seven rebounds and seven assists, while his backcourt classmate scored 10 points to go along with two assists and two steals.

Junior center Patrick Ackerman played 23 minutes and finished with 10 points, seven rebounds and one steal, while senior guard Brandan Kearney was also active with seven points, four rebounds and one steal in 22 minutes.

Game 4: Detroit 88, Trinity Western 78
Detroit completed its Canadian sweep with an 88-78 win over Trinity Western University on Monday night at the Langley Events Centre.

Five Titans scored in double figures led by senior forward Juwan Howard Jr. who finished with 15 points and eight rebounds, while junior center Patrick Ackerman recorded his second-straight night in double figures also scoring 15 points. Junior Patrick Onwenu scored 13 points, while sophomore guard Jarod Williams scored 11 to go along with six rebounds and five assists.

Junior guard Carlton Brundidge scored 10 points, while freshman Paris Bass scored nine to go along with seven rebounds. Senior guard Brandan Kearney was also active with seven points and five assists.
