University of Detroit Mercy sophomore center Eli Holman has been named the Horizon League Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 22.A native of Richmond, Calif., Holman averaged 16.6 points and 12.3 rebounds to lead the Titans to three wins at the Albany sub-regional of the 2K Sports Classic benefitting Coaches v. Cancer and was named the sub-regional's Most Valuable Player

He had a double-double of 20 points and 14 rebounds at the University at Albany Saturday and followed that with 16 points and 15 rebounds against Alcorn State University Sunday. Holman opened the weekend with 14 points and eight rebounds versus Robert Morris University Friday. In the three games, Holman shot 66 percent (21-of-32) from the field and averaged two blocked shots per game.

Holman is the only player in the Horizon League averaging a double-double with 16.2 points and 11.2 rebounds per game. He leads the League in rebounding and ranks fifth in scoring.

The Titans (4-1) have won four straight for the first time since the 2004-05 season and are off to their best start since going 4-1 to begin the 2001-02 campaign.

Robo Kreps, UIC (Jr., G) - Had 12 points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals in Flames' loss at Central Michigan
Shelvin Mack, Butler (So., G) - Averaged 16 points and 5.5 assists in the nationally ranked Bulldogs' road wins at Northwestern and Evansville
Sirlester Martin, Youngstown State (Sr., F) - Averaged 13 points per game in a 1-1 week with 15 points and seven rebounds against Kent State
Courtney Stanley, Loyola (So., G) - Posted his first career double-double with a career-high 10 points and 11 assists in Ramblers' win at Holy Cross and had 12 assists against Canisius
