Indianapolis—Detroit senior Brendan Leonard (Cambridge, Ont.) is the Horizon League Men’s Golfer of the Week for the period of Mar. 14-18.
Leonard registered his fourth top-20 finish of the season by finishing T14 in a strong field at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate in Sevierville, Tenn. The right-handed golfer started the 54-hole event with a 1-under 71 and an even par-72 before shooting a final round 76 to finish the event at 3-over 219. Leonard led the Titans with 10 birdies and topped the competition on the Par 3’s (-3, 2.75) as well as tying for 10th on the Par 5’s (-2, 4.83). Tennessee, ranked No. 40 by Golfweek, won the event with an 853. Detroit finished ninth with a 905.
For the season, the senior is second in the League in scoring average at 73.28.
Detroit is idle until April 5-6 when the Titans compete at the Bradley Invitational.

Dennis Holub, Youngstown State (Fr., Reminderville, Ohio) - Fired a 7-over 223 at the Jackrabbit Invitational in Primm, Nev. Holub’s total was good for 17th place and the Penguins finished fifth.
