DETROIT - Junior to be Lindsay Roy was named the Top Pitcher at the 2004 Junior Women's Canadian Fast Pitch Championships that ran from Aug. 8-15 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
Roy posted a 4-0 record with a 0.00 ERA in 26 innings pitched with 24 strikeouts as a member of the Cambridge Junior Ladies.
"It was a great honor to get this award, but I know I would not have won it with out my teammates," said Roy. "It was a total team effort for the entire tournament and our hard work showed."
Joining Roy was fellow Titan Katrina Klemp who had a .333 batting average with two doubles and a triple in helping Cambridge to a 6-1 record.
Both Klemp and Roy were named to the 2004 All-Horizon League Second Team for their efforts during the collegiate season.
