The team overcame a nine point deficit in the first half with an explosive third quarter to help take the game to overtime. A couple days later, Milwaukee battled for sole possession of second place in the standings and defeated Wright State 68-57 to sweep the series for the year.

From that point on, the two teams traded points before the Vikings eventually pulled away with a small lead entering the final quarter. Cleveland State then closed out of the game while maintaining the points edge the remaining 1:30.

Abshaw tabbed her eighth double-double of the season with 23 points and 10 rebounds against UIC while marking her seventh 20-point game this year. In addition to Abshaw’s game numbers she also set a program record for freshman/redshirt freshman scoring in a season. She now has 396 points on the year.
