INDIANAPOLIS -- Detroit junior forward Sara Zawacki (Dearborn, Mich.) is the Horizon League Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, while Green Bay junior goalkeeper Nastacia Behle (St. Paul, Mo.) and Valparaiso sophomore goalkeeper Sydney Galvey-Daley (Chicago, Ill.) have been named Co-Defensive Players of the Week for the week of Oct. 20-26.

Zawacki scored Detroit’s lone two goals in its win over Oakland last week to claim Offensive Player of the Week honors. With the Titans trailing 1-0 in the 80th minute against the Golden Grizzlies, Zawacki found a rebound in the box and fired into the leftside of the goal to tie the match at one. After a scoreless first overtime, the Titan junior struck again this time receiving a pass from Jennifer Borawski, dribbling to the left side of the box and beating the Oakland goalkeeper into the right side of the goal.

The win clinched the number two seed in the Horizon League Tournament for the Titans. Detroit (8-6-1, 5-2) returns to the field Tuesday in a non-conference match versus Northern Kentucky before closing the regular season with a home match versus Milwaukee.

Behle earned Co-Defensive Player of the Week honors after logging two clean shuts in a perfect 2-0-0 week for Green Bay. The two wins for the Phoenix last week clinched a spot in the six-team Horizon League tournament for Green Bay. She recorded four saves overall as Green Bay knocked off UIC and Youngstown State.

Galvey-Daley earned her second Defensive Player of the Week selection after matching Behle with two shutouts last week. On Saturday, she made one save as the Crusaders defeated Detroit, 1-0, to clinch the outright Horizon League regular season title. Her lone save came in the 88th minute in the match on a scramble in the box. In seven Horizon League contests this season, Galvey-Daley has allowed just two goals.

Valparaiso (11-1-4, 7-0) and Green Bay (10-5-2, 4-3) close the regular season on Friday as the Crusaders visit the Phoenix.
